As for Assange, whose integrity I highly trust, I would ask the book's author to consider that perhaps the NSA made certain communiques and documents available to an anonymous wikileaks source. Assange was right to release the cables, but might have been used by the NSA (which has a LOTTA cyberpower, right?) to help further the globalist agenda. If one should never waste a catastrophe, and wikileaks was a catastrophe to the establishment, for sure, then why not exploit WikiLeaks -- not by internlly penetrating but by shoveling material their way when a certain type of leak might be useful?
I'm at page 83, and have not only been informed and entertained but also given hope: pretending to go along with big $$ creeps until he can throw them to the sharks is an old and successful tactic of Putin's.
This does not per se exonerate him from the covid nightmare he is currently enabling, but it strongly suggests that Vlad has not sold out but is playing his usual patient judo with what is, after all, the most powerful power consortium on the planet.
As much as I adore Vlad, I work hard to remain objective. Learning more details of his history encourages me to continue giving him the benefit of the doubt. I want there to be a whole Russia for my kids to immigrate to in a decade if not sooner.
The author is running on empty when he talks about German bestiality brothels, wavering from severe exaggeration to borderline fabrication. sigh* People do get caught u[p in grinding their ex.
The author is either full of shit por misinformed about Obama's eloquence beingh a teleprompter artifice. I watched Obama's campaign from the gitgo. He was an extemporaneous verbal genius before they put him on teleprompters partly (imo) because he was burning out from the campaign and was losing his verbal focus and agility. (I watched this happen on a Sunday morning talking heads squawk session. Next week, the teleprompters kicked in.
I knew it would be a useful book, but (now at page 52) it is proving your accolades true. One of the more broad-viewed views of Russian/Western relations I've seen, and written to be a layman read. A real gem. Thanx!
I love this page's comparison of the Bolsheviks with Obama. I'm not a commie or socialism basher: all governance systems suck. Being left or right is like choosing to be one-handed when you could be ambidextrous. But the comparison is quite apt.

Obama's a creep, but he's an articulate creep.
One wonders what the book's author thinks of J. Assange now?
Found it: https://archive.org/details/war-against-putin

I forgot to include the quote page. Oh well.
I started last night. Vlad is both fascinating and likable.
Thanks, Arthur Bro. ^_^
