Post Hegemony....

possible better future... ?

Elsewhere a commenter in a Youtube thread suggested that our whole American hegemony structure was crumbling and liable to break at any time. Which certainly looks to be true.

But I figured that perhaps some good might come of that. After all it should, shouldn’t it? If this is bad then removing it or seeing it die should bring good?

So I wrote a reply and because these posts in this substack constitute my own personal record of what I’ve thought from time to time about this and that I’m reproducing it here:

Yep. I feel sure it's teetering. From my position as dumb uneducated observer/participator. It just seems to be rotten through and through and through. Hard to find a redeeming feature.

I sorta cling to a faint hope that perhaps when the rest of the world breaks through and the chains our mob has placed on them in order to support the American military hegemony things might actually not fall into a terrible heap but may even get better?

Overall it'll be better for the world, surely, unless something wicked rises to take over - like a 'wicked' China dominates in the same fashion as the USA but perhaps even worse. I don't believe Russia would or could or would be worse if they did. I don't believe India is even in the running.

I feel, I want to feel, that an era of really free trade might bring profits to all of us.

That's be lack of restrictive trade agreements.

What other bad things have they done, are doing?

Wars. Perhaps a lack of artificially fomented wars might lead to outbreaks of peace and therefore increased production and elevated living conditions all over the world?

What else have they done/are doing?

Stealing billions via unnecessary and faulty drugs.

Perhaps medical costs may fall and people get healthier without being poisoned wholescale by American big $harma.

Perhaps people will reject these unnecessary and dubious vaccinations and there's a chance future generations will grow stronger, straighter, more virile and reverse those current trends.

What else?

Culture: Perhaps the culture of the whole world will break through instead of this Hollywood comic strip childish nonsense the world has been fed since WWII. The shock of the end of the American era may cause and allow a kind of global consciousness/awareness in everything, arts, fashion, literature, thinking, mores, whatever...

What else have they done?

Politicians, emasculated, perverted, distorted.

Perhaps we may get politicians able and willing to actually think and arrive at sensible conclusions and think about their constituents and reality and reason and actually get up and talk and argue for it and not be a humbled downtrodden silent member of one of two party system which itself is a humbled and downtrodden member of a sycophantic system in thrall to the USA.

That's really part of another thing they've done:

Destroy democracy.

Perhaps we will begin to resurrect democracy. For decades lost, subsumed in this makeshift apology call 'representative democracy' whereby we don't actually get a say, as citizens should in a democracy, but we get to elect one person to speak for vast numbers of us.

And that one person himself having no voice: being a member of a two party system and pledged to obey the dictates of 'his own' party.

And THAT system even corrupted beyond belief at the present having thrown away all interest in the good of the constituents, all interest in political philosophy, and having become merely an adjunct of Big Business, generally, around the world, meaning Big American Business.

As we've seen and are seeing meaning Drug Companies like Pfizer and War companies like Lockheed Martin.

So that courtesy of the World Wide Web and smartphones we may initiate perpetual referenda whereby every citizen has their own secret 'page' in a government database, just like having your own secret account on your bank's site, wherein you log and change whenever and however you like your 'vote' for current parties, current candidates, current issues. So that the realities of the population's desires are accurately reflected at all time and the results available for ll to see and lying manipulative bullshit politicians and spin doctors put right out of business.

What else have they destroyed:

Medicine. I don't mean the phony drug culture or even the phony vaccination program, I mean the Hippocratic oath and the rights and duty for Doctors to act according to their training and their principles, their conscience. Right now in my country doctors are forbidden by government to do that. If they feel they should prescribe this repurposed drug they are forbidden to do so. They are, incredibly, even forbidden to give information about it. They are forbidden to see clients without wearing face masks, which are ludicrously inappropriate and anyway ineffective. Whole hospitals the same. Medicine as a culture, as a discipline, as a science, is in the garbage bin. Perhaps we will get it back.

What else?

Justice. The Law. Once upon a time the British Bobby patrolled the streets and crime was kept very low and everyone knew the policeman was your friend. Children were told to look for a policeman if they were to get lost or be in any kind of trouble. And they would and could and did.

Now there are no policemen to be seen. They are all touring around in police cars playing Starsky and Hutch. Their principle job is to harass motorists. Motorists are restricted in maximum speed. This is allowed to be seen as 'required speed' and motorist hunt down the highways playing chicken right on the maximum speed, trying to edge over here for a bit, there for a bit and the police try to catch them at it. Safe pleasant driving doesn't feature in the equation at all. So it is plain and simple: people v police. This spreads over into the street and police monitor vehicles at a stand still looking for any infraction from parking to broken tail lights that they can exact usurious penalties for. Again, plain and simple: police v people. The whole attitude, the whole ethos spreads over into the private realm where there are security guards everywhere and all wearing mock police uniforms and acting with the inhuman intolerance, inexorability and punitive enmity of the actual police. Again; police v people.

We are effectively continually in a police state, quasi military subject peons in a police state. It is manifested quite openly via quasi military uniforms and a plethora of accoutrements devoted ot disciplining the populace.

The primitive mentality of the whole thing betrayed by tailored shirts for instance and, biggest give-away of all: sunglasses, 'aviator' sunglasses on a policeman indoors, outdoor on cloudy days, in the shadow, etc. - plainly an exhibition of vanity. Vain sadist and control freaks and the population subject to them.

I am sure there's more. I've exhausted myself off-the-cuff and have made myself feel quite saddened so I'll leave it there.

What I meant to say was that there's possibly a bright future ahead once we get out from under.
