Yep. Good word you've got there, too. 'Obfuscatory', that would characterise Western world authoritarian speech alright. Goes all the way down to local govt. and public services interfaces. I think it even characterises much of what passes for tertiary education in this welter of new 'subjects' they've come up with these days where you need a diploma to paint fingernails.
I agree with the post and the comments. And Putin is a great example of "cogent," but he still had vaccine mandates, and I really wonder if he is actually what we so love to call "Controlled Opposition."
Well... I guess we'll find out, if we survive long enough.
Yes, I wonder about that. Quite a bit. I wonder about quite a few things here and there concerning Russia and Putin and so on.
My current attitude is kinda 'for want of better knowledge' and 'in a fallible human world best exemplar I know of..'
Yep. Sure. Can't know we've 'got it all' and it would be silly to assume we have.
Don't quite know how to put it.
How about: In a world full of imperfections shading off into deliberate total opposite of perfection, deliberate downright evil, Putin and his Russia are the best I see and the distance between them an second best is a large one and the distance between them and our West is a gulf almost beyond comprehension. ?
This is something I've noticed, too. Putin's speech is direct, to the point, and relevant. To say nothing of learned and often quite funny.
The contrast with the obfuscatory antilanguage of Western elites, many of whom simply babble like the imbeciles they so clearly are, is dramatic.

They use language the way squids use ink.
Exactly so. Thanks. :)

Yeah. S'funny, but I feel the same way, lol.
I said that because I didn't realize until not so long ago that Putin had also done a vax mandate.
So... I pretty much feel the same way you do. Cheers.
Onward.
